Home Care With A Purpose
Founded by James E. Scotton-Carr, III, in August 2018, Demetria Hands of Care provides non-medical, in-home care services that you or your loved one may need. Inspired by James’ mother, Demetria Scotton-Carr, and her passion for helping those in need is shown through her daily work in the human services field. Demetria has been in the nursing and personal care field for over 30 years. She always lived by the motto, “In life things tend to happen suddenly and beyond our control, being prepared is the first step.”
Our Staff
Our caregivers are certified and meet the standards of The PA Department of Health (DOH) Guidelines. All employees are put through an extensive interview process, new hire orientation, and an on-going hands-on training process. The curriculum is designed to best prepare our employees with the skills needed to carry out our mission. All employees are Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certified and have completed First Aid training hrs. Our program first identifies individual needs (Intake/orientation), establishes goals for each of these areas (Evaluation), and then together we find the best solutions (Management).
